I picked up some older wax to open and document on the Nascard Radio blog. My goal here is to provide information and education on NASCAR trading cards. Provide some videos of what the cards were like in the particular year. Armed with this knowledge you can make educated decisions if you decide you what to purchase the product.
The 1992 Maxx Red set is comprised of 300 cards and sold in factory sets and 14 card wax packs. There is also a black version that is identical to the red set but the border is black (instead of Red). It should be noted that the Black wax packs have one card from the previous 4 years (1988 -1991) inserted per pack. Factory sets have only 4 cards inserted from the previous 4 years (1988 -1991). The factory sets have 304 cards (300 plus 4 of the previous year’s cards). The Black version is considered the Hobby version. Below are some of the cards I got from the packs I opened.
