The 1997 Press Pass set was issued in 1 series of 140 cards. There are two different parallel cards, Torquers (Blue from Retail Foil packs 1:1) and Oil Slicks (Hobby Foil 1:36 packs).
Hobby boxes have 8 cards a pack and 24 packs per box with 20 wax boxes per Hobby case. Retail packs have 8 cards a pack and 32 packs per box with 20 wax boxes per Retail case.
Two special cards were inserted in to packs. One is a Sam Bass Top Flight card of Jeff Gordon which is inserted in hobby packs at a rate of 1 in 480 packs. A special holofoil Terry Labonte Winston Cup Champion card can be found at a rate of 1 in 480 packs. Burning Rubber cards are randomly inserted and and have a rubber ring on the from of the card and are numbered to 400.
