The 1998 Press Pass set was issued in 1 series totaling 150 cards. The set includes a number of subsets and insert sets. Cards 101 – 150 are NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers of All-Time and are only one per pack. To make a complete 150 card set you would need to open at least 50 packs since the high numbers (101-150) are one per pack!
A parallel of the first 100 cards was created and inserted in to packs with each card be individually numbered to 100. 1998 Press Pass packs contain 8 cards. Inserts could be found in packs for several different Insert sets. They were Cup Chase, Oil Cans (1:18), Pit Stop (1:12), Shockers (1:12), Torpedoes (1:12), Triple Gear Burning Rubber (1:480) and Autographs (1:240).
A special #0 card of 1997 Winston Cup Champion Jeff Gordon was inserted in to Hobby packs (1:480).
