I picked up one of those 2012 Total Memorabilia Retail Boxes at Target. The video of the break is below as well as the cards.
I am not sure how I feel about these cards. I think Press Pass does a good job and for a company with a monopoly on NASCAR cards they don’t act like it. This year they are retiring some of the product lines and creating a few new ones. They never take the collector for granted and it shows by their great products, listening to the customer and 5 star customer service. Like what I did there, 5 Star.
This is one of their new product lines. For me it just dint do it. I think the 19.99 price point for this is high. I think this might be better at a 9.99 price point and the memorabilia cards have too much empty space. The photo is 1/4 of the card and the swatch is an 1/8 of the card which leaves a lot of foil. I like the concept but this seems too much like FanFare, which was very colorful and I really enjoyed it.
I applaud Press Pass for trying but I think this one gets lapped by Fanfare.
