I finally got my hands on a Hobby box of 2020 Donruss racing. I collected during the late 1980’s so there was a sense of nostalgia with the 1987 Retro design in this set. There are 24 packs a box with 8 cards per pack. Each pack has an insert, Optic and parallel card leaving just 5 base cards. This box also yielded 12 Silver, 5 Red #/299, 4 Blue #199, 2 Green #/99 and a stack of insert cards.
At 200 cards, base set collectors will need at least 2 boxes to get a shot at a complete base set. The optic set is 100 cards and this box produced 6 Optic Prizm cards and 18 base Optic cards. Depending on you ratio of Optic base to Optic Prizm, if your trying for a Optic base set, it’s going to take at least 5 boxes.
This was a fun break and look forward to trying to complete a base set of both Donruss and Optic.
